The Black Voice is often silent or unheard in so many aspects of society. Literature and art is an area that is not immune. I urge everyone as we are supporting black owned businesses that we do not forget our artists and writers. Here are a few black artists/writers I have supported that I want to highlight:
Jay Durrah
I am came across Mr. Durrah a Baltimore's Artscape a few years ago. He is a self-taught artist based in the DC, MD, VA area and his work is amazing. I own the Multicolored King seen below, but check out his other pieces here.
Natasha Sistrunk Robinson
Mrs. Robinson is South Carolina Native who is a US Marine Corps veteran. After her service to her country, she began writing and publishing professionally resulting in numerous articles and books. Her words are powerful and advocates for all humans, and uses her voice to to be an inspiration for change. Check out her sight here.

Shae is the artist behind She is This. Shae started SHE IS THIS as a way to inspire women of color and beyond - young and old to not just embrace their skin, but celebrate it and everything it comes with.
Nathalie Michelle
Nathalie is a speaker, author, and life coach who was inspired by her personal tragedy to share her story or resilience to inspire others that there is life after loss.
